G' day (sounds like gidday).
After leaving Europe, we travelled over Asia down to Australia.
Since the koala is native to Australia and extremely cute, we made our own koala masks. We also painted cardboard to look like Australia, so we could make a collage with all of our Australia pictures.
On Wednesday, we made a musical instrument called a didgeridoo. Even though ours were made from paper rolls and not wood, they still made a cool sound.
Lamingtons and Milo we on the menu for cooking day. Adding Milo to milk makes an easy and delicious chocolate milk drink. We made a special IAC version of the traditional Lamingtons by replacing the sponge cake with banana loaf and the shaved coconut with chocolate sprinkles. It was yummy!
To finish off our week in Australia, we hopped like kangaroos, climbed like koalas, completed our collage, and played the Australian game 'What time is it Mr. Wolf'.
Next week, we are going to travel west to Egypt!
