Bingo and Pollution

To start the class off we played Emotion Bingo. Every time a child had a spot on his or her card, he or she would have to act out his or her emotion. It was funny!
クラスの始めに、喜怒哀楽ビンゴをしました。先生が選んだカードの感情と自分のカードに描かれている感情が同じであれば、それを自分で表現するのですが、とても面白かったです♪
For activity time we discussed the concept of Pollution. Pollution is when something becomes "dirty." Polluting is not good. Student's were presented with two different buckets of water. The student's had to try and figure out how to clean the water using the materials given to them. At first, students thought they could clean the water by hands; however, that did not work. Then, they tried using soap, but that didn't work. So, then they used the coffee filters that were given to them and poured the water into the filter and watched the water seep through and come out clean. The looks on their faces were PRICELESS!
アクティビティータイムには、「汚染」についての話をしました。「汚染」とはモノが汚れることで、良いことではないということを子供たちに伝えました。2つのバケツを用意して、1つのバケツには汚れた水を入れて。。。道具を使って、どうやったら汚れた水をきれいにできるか試してみましたよ～☆
最初は、手で汚れ取れるかなぁ。。。とやってみましたがうまく出来ません。
じゃあ次は洗剤を使ってみよう！う～ん、きれいにならないねぇ。。。
今度はコーヒーフィルターで試してみました。
汚れた水をフィルターの中に入れて。。。うわ～きれいな水が出てきたよぉ♪
子供たちの表情は「プライスレス」でした！
